Through the window of the Fleur de Paris, a vintage hat shop in the French Quarter of New Orleans, stand two feminine figures in their millinery finest. Their names derive from timing, as artist Paul Jackson was painting this work as hurricanes Rita and Katrina battered the city. This watercolor won the Canson Award from Watercolor West, the Morrison Family Memorial Award from the 26th Annual Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors and the MOWS Members Award from the Missouri Watercolor National Exhibition in 2007.
