While working on this wonderfully colored and detailed art supply still life watercolor, artist Paul Jackson, living in a friend's beach house in Orange Beach, FL circa 1991, set a trap and caught these crabs. The crabs didn't grasp the concept of a still life painting, so Paul put them in the fridge for a bit where they became comatose long enough for him to paint. We'll assume they were delicious.
