A magnificent twilight watercolor of St. Peters Square, with it's obelisk, that lays before the Basilica and is circled by the colonnade, designed and finished in 1668 by Giovanni Bernini. The colonnade solved the problem of creating a grand entrance to St. Peters. This Paul Jackson painting is one of a series by the artist of European monuments, churches and museums.
